Problem
The project was to create an illustration of a room. I realized that with illustrations, there has to be a good reason to not simply serve the same purpose a photo would with less quality, so I had to come up with some way to show that.
Solution
I essentially tried to go to the opposite of a photo, with an almost minimal sort of design. I also took some inspiration from comics, using thick lines in the vein of the style of comic books. This led to the designs you see here, which have a much more stylized appearance than a photograph would.
